Buying Bitumen 60/70: specifications, documents and delivery

Start with the project specification

Before requesting Bitumen 60/70, obtain the specification accepted by the project or receiving customer. A grade name is useful for identifying the requested material, but it does not record every test limit, method or contractual acceptance condition. Send the complete specification with the enquiry. If a different grade is proposed, ask the responsible project engineer to approve the substitution before purchase.

Compare the offer with the batch evidence

Request a current technical data sheet and identify when the batch certificate of analysis will be available. A catalogue table is reference information; it is not proof of the material in a particular shipment. Agree which laboratory or inspection document is required and how its batch reference will connect to the packing and shipping documents. Record who reviews discrepancies before loading.

Define quantity and packing together

State the required net metric tonnes, preferred packing, destination port and receiving equipment. For drums, confirm net product weight separately from gross shipping weight. For bags or bulk, confirm that the receiving operation can handle the proposed format. Ask for the packing schedule, marking requirements and loading plan rather than assuming a standard container payload.

Request a comparable commercial offer

Each quotation should identify the product specification, quantity, packing, currency, named delivery term and place, offer expiry and payment conditions. Ask what is included in the price and what remains to be agreed. Delivery timing should distinguish product preparation from booking and transit. A low unit price is not automatically the lowest delivered cost if these inputs differ.

Send a purchase-ready enquiry

Use this brief: Bitumen 60/70; required specification attached; net quantity; packing preference; destination port; delivery window; requested documents; and inspection requirements. VEYRA can review the sourcing requirement and return the points that need confirmation. Availability, specification and commercial terms are confirmed for the actual order.
