Include lifting, storage and product-transfer requirements in the enquiry. A packing format is only useful if it fits the receiving process.
Confirm the schedule
Ask for net weight, gross weight and package dimensions. Keep tolerances and the agreed load plan attached to the order.
Check compatibility
Material, temperature and transport conditions should be reviewed by the producer and transport provider. A format shown in a catalogue is not approval for every product.
